Chemistry for the bathroom

Who does not like us to enter the fragrant and clean bathroom? However, with the passage of time, many elements are deteriorating. To eliminate specific stains, use appropriate preparations.

Chemistry for the bathroom

The bathroom creates the most persistent dirt. When cleaning, we often deal with stone, fungus, dirty joints, sediments. Therefore, if we want our bathroom to "smell clean", we need to take care of it properly. Much depends on what means we use for this purpose. It is not as obvious as it seems to us. Remember that not every bathtub, shower tray or washbasin can use the same cleaning products.

Systematic care

The most important thing is to take care of the cleanliness in the bathroom systematically. It is enough to neglect it for a short time, to show on the shower tray or bath tub difficult to scrub the stains, and on the edge of the sink or toilet covered with wet dust. The image is complemented by appearing in wet places, such as a shower cabin, black dots, which signal the appearance of the fungus. Cleaning the bathroom becomes much harder and takes a lot of time. That's why you have to do it regularly, thanks to which cleaning will consist in wiping and flooding sanitary facilities with bactericidal fluids, not on laborious scraping of old stone.

The preparation is selected according to needs

Comprehensive cleaning of the bathroom usually requires several measures: preparations for cleaning the toilet bowl, liquids for removing scale or rust, optical brighteners, scouring milk, window fluids, etc. Effectively they remove rust, lime scale, lime deposits, cement residues and soap. At the same time, they eliminate the unpleasant odors of urine. In addition, we can opt for specific measures used to clean specific materials.

Remember that before applying the preparation, let's read to what surface it is intended. An unsuitable agent may cause damage (often irreversible) to surfaces being cleaned. Of course, universal preparations are available on the market. They do not cause any harm, but they can not be used to eliminate any pollution.

In addition to the extensive range of cleaning products, various types of sponges and wipes are also available. It is worth remembering not to rub delicate chrome surfaces and sanitary facilities with metal cleaners, because we can damage the protective coatings. Gentle, soft cloths or sponges are intended for delicate surfaces.

Liquids, gels and lotions ...

Standing in the store in front of a shelf with chemicals designed to clean the bathroom, we may have trouble buying the appropriate preparation, because their selection is very large. So what are they different?

· Liquids, concentrates - they exfoliate, remove dirt, dust, stone and rust. We add them to the water in the right proportions, most often they are designed for several types of surfaces. Spray preparations are also available, which are sprayed directly on the cleaned surfaces.

· Gels - are useful for removing lime deposits and rust as well as cleaning sanitary ceramics. They can be diluted.

· Foams - they clean glass, ceramic tiles, eliminate stone and rust. They are intended for ceramic surfaces and others for metal.

· Milk powder - stain and whiten, intended for gentle scrubbing. They are ideal for sanitary and steel ceramics.

· Powders and pastes - the best for scrubbing, often also bleach cleaned surfaces.

The right composition

Preparations for cleaning the bathroom have in their composition, among others:

· Active oxygen to help remove dirt,

· Citrus vinegar and extracts with exfoliating properties,

· Chlorine, hypochlorite and ammonia whose task is to whiten and disinfect,

· Baking soda for whitening.

Care should be taken when using agents with a high fluoride content, for example in rust removal preparations. Their longer operation may lead to spots. For this reason, you should immediately remove the remains of such a measure.
