A
green roof is an ordered layer system in which each has a specific function in
a single or multi-layer system. It
happens that many layers simultaneously perform several functions and
complement each other.
One
of the basic layers of the green roof, necessary for its proper functioning, is
the waterproofing layer, usually made of rolled, highly modified bitumen
elastomer, with tensile inserts made of polyester nonwovens, additionally
resistant to root overgrowth. They are usually thermo-weldable bituminous
roofing felt with features preventing root overgrowth.
The
technology of making a green roof includes a specific method of preparation and
conducting the process of its production and assembly of individual layers of
the system, and - as the most important function - ensuring tight and durable
waterproofing. It is known that waterproofing is responsible for the lifetime of
the roof covering, hence the contractor's (roofing) contractor is required,
meticulous, in line with the construction art, and the waterproofing producer
himself - a technological regime confirming the high class of material.
The

system consists of the following individual layers, counting from the top:

Safety of green roofs - waterproofing layer
Due
to the fact that the layers of vapor barrier and thermal insulation are located
under the waterproofing, it ensures the proper functioning and lifetime of the
roof - this is the most common solution of the solution used on building
objects.
Each
type of green roof system LEMBIT GREEN ROOF system, in accordance with the
requirements of fire regulations and based on fire classification, is resistant
to external fire, obtaining roof class Broof (t1) both with planting layers and
ending with waterproofing - Fire classification No. 2424 // 2016 / Z00NZP and
1340/2016 / Z00NZP for any angles of roof slope.
Additionally,
if the fire protection class of the roof covering will be required, using the
LEMBIT GREEN ROOF roofing membrane, the layer system on both reinforced
concrete or metal substrates has appropriate tests confirming the fire resistance
class, RE30 or RE15, respectively. Fire
classification No. 0839.1 / 17 / Z00NZP and 0839.2 / 17 / Z00ZNP
