Construction of a house with ceramic hollow blocks - useful devices and accessories for ceramics

The construction of walls, made of ceramic hollow blocks, will run quickly and without any problems if we use appropriate tools to process them

Ceramic blocks are a material with a characteristic structure - fired from clay, with the addition of wood flour or sawdust, distinguished by a porous structure and a slotted structure, with an internal arrangement of drills. Ceramic blocks, it is a willingly chosen material for building a house - properly selected, provide good thermal and acoustic insulation. They are, unfortunately, quite fragile, so they require the use of appropriate tools for processing.

How to cut ceramic blocks?

Sometimes, building a house with ceramic hollow blocks requires cutting the material. Then, it is best to reach for a chainsaw, an alligator with electric drive or, if we have the option, use a table saw with a diamond disc. Before cutting ceramic hollow bricks, pay attention to the type of blade or blades used in the machine - they should be designed for cutting ceramic hollow bricks. For making holes, in order to guide the installation in the walls of ceramic hollow bricks, they are used for furrowers.

Anchors and drill bits for ceramic hollow bricks

In the finished wall of ceramic airbricks, you can make holes, for example under electrical boxes. In this case, a drill or a drill with a crown drill will be useful. When making holes in the walls, ceramic hollow bricks, it is not recommended to use power tools with a stroke, because they could cause damage to the inner walls of the blocks and reduce the load capacity of the material.

For small and medium loads, the use of universal expansion anchors (eg HRD) will be sufficient. They can be used for the assembly of door and window frames, in the walls of ceramic hollow bricks, fixing of façade elements, shelves and cabinets. A good solution for ceramic hollow bricks is the use of chemical anchors. They can be used, among others for attaching shelves or elements hanging on the wall.
